PrideStaff a national company is seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk. Friendly staff, growth potential and fun atmosphere. Temp to hire position with long term employment. Immediate need. Serious candidates please apply. 

General job description: 

 Prepares and processes payments accurately and in a timely manner. Reviews and verifies all purchase orders, statements, and invoices. Arrange payments with clients for past due or delinquent bills and balances. Identifies and resolves discrepancies to an account. Track all collected currency and transaction records using database. Work directly with supervisor and report all changes. 


  • Timely receive, sort, verify, code, and enter invoices into accounting software.
  • Review all received invoices for appropriate supporting documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Verify received invoices using 3 way matching.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting accounts payable transactions to journals, ledgers and other records within accounting software. 
  • Track budgeted expenses and processes employee reimbursements by receiving and verifying expense reports.
  • Monitor assigned accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain and good rapport with vendors by communicating via phone, mail and email.

  • Temp to hire
  • Mon-Fri
  • 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • $15.00 - $20.00 (DOE)
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and focus.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Understanding of accounts payable and accounting procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft: word, excel, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and outlook.
  • Communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced 10-key by touch and data entry.
  • Problem and listening skills. 
  • Able to work as part of a team. 
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
