Mechanical Engineer (Senior Level)
Chicago, IL (On Site)

$90,000 - $110,000/Year
Desired skills and expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of ASHRAE standards and building codes for ventilation, humidity control, load calculations, and duct sizing techniques
- Advanced knowledge of key performance parameters for air handlers, pumps, chillers, temperature controls, ductwork accessories, heat exchangers and tanks
- Knowledge of key architectural considerations for HVAC equipment such as fan room sizing, shaft sizing, clearances, ceiling, and interstitial space constraints
- Knowledge of key electrical considerations for HVAC equipment such as voltage and phase, motor design, variable frequency drives, disconnect devices, low voltage requirements, and separation of HVAC and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of key plumbing and fire protection design considerations
- General understanding of sustainable strategies and principles that can be applied to high performance projects. LEED and WELL certification preferred
- Familiarity with LEED, WELL and other green building rating systems required
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit
- Completion of a professional degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field
- PE licensure preferred
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical discipline
