A premiere Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Surgical center has an immediate need for experienced Pre-Op/Post-Op and/or perioperative Registered Nurses.
Ensures patient readiness for surgery including, but not limited to, NPO status, medication administration, surgical site verification and marking and chart completeness
Maintains clinical skill competencies and appropriate to area of specialty including but not limited to CLIA waived testing, IV starts, medication administration and use of monitoring equipment
Ensures preoperative admitting bays are setup and ready for patients at all times, prepares patient charts for subsequent days, verifies patient arrival times and surgical procedures times based on daily surgery schedule
Performs comprehensive assessment of patient’s clinical condition and psychosocial needs
Demonstrates knowledge of drugs, actions and side effects of medication administered in the PACU
Coordinates and supervises teaching and education to the patient and caregiver regarding recovery and post-Operative instructions.
Maintains clinical skill competencies appropriate to areas of specialty, including but not limited to, monitoring equipment, defibrillator and IV pumps.
Responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

1+ years of Pre-Op/ Post-Op and/or perioperative experience
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
Team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
