Job Summary:

The Technician, Manufacturing Maintenance, is responsible for monitoring and execution of Preventative Maintenance activities on production equipment used in the assembly and fabrication of photodiodes and LED’s along with general manufacturing equipment.

Position is responsible for tracking repair activities, assuring adequate spare parts are in stock, and manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules are performed.

Position will also be required to support non-routine service requests to assure maximum equipment uptime is maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Direct and execute the preventive maintenance and repair of assigned equipment, according to manufacturer recommendations, MP’s and EQ’s under the supervision of Engineer and/or Production Supervisor;

·         Ensure Maintenance and Calibration Schedules are met and properly documented

·         Ensure spare parts inventory is defined and maintained

·         Support new equipment installations, start up and validations

·         Supports projects or activities as required by the company;

·         Performs other duties or special projects as requested;

·         Direct the daily checklist for the proper functioning of equipment

·         Ensure all equipment safety systems are functioning properly

·         Report unsafe conditions

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

·         High School diploma or equivalent

·         Demonstrated experience with electromechanical and hydraulic systems

·         Experience with compression molding, metal stamping, laser trim, and high speed die assembly equipment

·         Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

·         Solid understanding and demonstrated experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, force gauges, calipers, etc

·         Ability to read and comprehend electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics

·         Excellent English Oral and written communication skills

·         Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Self-directed and compliant to ensure cGMP and OSHA requirements are met and maintained

·         Solid understanding of cGMP and GDP as it relates to manufacturing equipment maintenance

·         Previous experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries

·         Post high school education, trade school or apprenticeship

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
