Sales Engineer

ST Solutions currently has an opening for a Sales Engineer to cover the Alabama market area. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for actively driving the sales process, providing engineering and technical support, and producing cost savings to customer accounts. This position will establish and maintain strong business relationships with customers, and must be able to identify technical issues within these accounts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Make planned sales calls on assigned accounts and new prospects in the sales territory
  • Maintain and/or develop new business and open new markets to sell focused product lines
  • Through testing and evaluation, assist the customer in solving any tooling or production problem and where possible, provide productivity improvements by proper application of Salem Tools, Inc. focused product lines
  • Document all cost savings provided to the customer
  • Implement and maintain an up-to-date account plan for development of business at each account in the designated territory

Qualified candidates will have five or more years of experience in applied tooling applications, cutting tools, machining or industrial sales, with strong technical capabilities. Candidates should also have expertise in solving problems and providing support to customers with tooling applications. An engineering degree and/or in shop manufacturing engineering is strongly preferred.
