Job Description

Human Resources Coordinator
The human resource coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Specialist and Director in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, turnover, employment records and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions

  1. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt positions and conducts new-team member orientations; monitors career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
  2. Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
  3. Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  4. Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
  5. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  6. Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  7. Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
  8. Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  9. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  10. Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  11. Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
  12. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  13. Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  14. Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  15. Handles exit interviews.
  16. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  17. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory and quarterly HR Newsletter
  18. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to  continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  19. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  20. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
20% per year to all care centers

Job Requirements

Experience and Education:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist
  • Experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources Coordinator or Generalist role or equivalent combination of education and experience

The Human Resources Coordinator will focus on the following functional areas:

  • Full cycle recruiting
  • New employee orientation/onboarding
