Care Giver/CNA for Dallas and Ft. Worth Metroplex

Qualifications: Two years employment providing direct patient care in a hospital, licensed agency or nursing facility. Must be able to lift 15-50 lbs., walk, stand, squat, kneel, and climb stairs. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English and follow direction. Must be able to perform all tasks required in caring for the client in their home. Must have current CPR, TB test, valid driver’s license, pass pre-employment drug screening, current automobile insurance as required by law, and dependable transportation.

Duties And Responsibilities: Assisting the client to maintain personal hygiene and grooming (bathing, shampoo, nail care, skin care, oral hygiene, toileting, and elimination). Assisting the client with transferring, ambulating, normal range of motion, and positioning. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the client. Change bed linens and do laundry. Recognize emergencies and knowledge of safety procedures. Assist in the preparation of meals and adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Report any changes in the client’s mental, physical, and or emotional state to the Nursing Supervisor. Basic infection control practices and universal precautions. Remind client of medication times. Answer telephone and door. Take on outings, play games, and assist with correspondence. Maintain the safety of the client at all times and protect the client’s confidentiality rights. Provide care as outlined and directed by the Nursing and Administrative staff. Document and submit required paperwork as instructed. Read and complete monthly Continuing Education Unit (CEU).

● Exposure to blood and or body fluids during the performance of job duties.

● May be exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, and animals while in the client’s home.

● May be exposed to dust, gas, fumes, and odors while in the client’s home.

Education Requirements

● High school diploma or GED

● Proof of Nurse Aid or Home Health Aid program or verifiable experience.
