Job Description

Our client is a growing company in the materials equipment management industry in Northwest Illinois.  The are seeking an energetic Business Development Manager to help in delivering their business strategy for the near and long term.   This person will have the opportunity to partner with senior  leadership on new business opportunities, market development and M&A.   They have excellent benefits and offer relocation for the right talented individual.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve objectives of large, complex business strategy projects

Develop in-depth knowledge of industry customers, products and capabilities

Identify trendsetting ideas by researching competitors, other industries and thought leaders

Locate and propose prospective business partnerships by contacting potential target companies, and by discovering and exploring new business opportunities

Structure analytical approaches and generate project strategies and tactics

Develop and evaluate options consistent with strategic objectives by understanding business needs and goals

Create recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance

Lead the development of project guidelines, contingency plans, objective, and deliverables

Manage large, cross- functional teams  and facilitate projects to ensure timely delivery and results

Consult with the executive team on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation, including proves, risk management and new growth opportunities

Provide though leadership and collaborate across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction

Job Requirements

Job Requirements: 

Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) required

Technical or Business related Bachelor’s Degree

10 years of total business experience

3 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking and/or market research 

Proven track record of developing and leading transformational business initiatives that have resulted in significant financial improvement and strategic value. 

Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to business issues 

Extensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modeling 

Very string verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and influence 

Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently 

Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, conflict resolution, and management
