Receptionist / Part Time Automotive Receptionist

Mel Hambelton Ford has an opportunity for a Part Time Receptionist to join their team! This position is responsible for making a positive and lasting first impression with customers who enter the store and contact us by phone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet people as they enter the establishment
  • Greet persons entering the establishment, briefly develop rapport with customers, determine nature and purpose of visit, and escort them to specific destinations
  • Inform salespersons of customers’ arrival and informs customers of salespersons’ availability
  • Operate telephone switchboard to answer calls, provide information, and take messages
  • Provide information about the establishment such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided
  • Resolve complaints from customers and public while maintaining professional appearance and composure

SCHEDULE :

The receptionist position will be scheduled for part time hours in the range of 2pm-8pm M-F and 8am-8pm on Saturday.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as outlined by company policy
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Efficient keyboarding skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with personnel and customers
  • Ability to resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while dealing with customer relation inquiries
  • Flexible to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Indoor environment, near front door (minor exposure to outdoor conditions)
  • Very frequent sitting
  • Very frequent use of hand dexterity (use of keyboard, mouse)
  • Constant use of seeing and hearing
  • Constant working as part of a group
  • Occasional loud noise, fumes, and odors
