One of our clients in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an accounting professional with solid leadership skills and a penchant for transactional accounting for a highly interactive career opportunity. This Senior Accounting Manager/Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for leading the company’s accounting team.

Senior Accounting Manager / Controller Job Duties:
- Oversee the accounting team and transactional accounting processes
- Assist with the refinement of the month-end close process
- Improve and implement internal controls
- Conduct technical research and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Support monthly financial reporting for executive management and investors
- Liaison with external auditors
- Train, develop and mentor staff
- Oversee the analytical review of general ledger balances
- Other special projects, as assigned
Senior Accounting Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- CPA VERY HIGHLY preferred
- 7+ years of progressive professional accounting experience required, ideally with Big 4, National or large regional public accounting firm experience
- Multi-site experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of accounting professionals
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of Netsuite ERP system required
- Solid critical thinking and analysis and attention to detail
- Superb communications skills
