US Medical Staffing is currently seeking is seeking a Mobile Therapist to provide community based mental health therapy to children, including in their homes. Provide individual treatment to children in conjunction with treatment team members, especially family, to stabilize and improve behavior functioning. As a lead clinician, develop behavior treatment plan and interventions, using trauma informed evidenced based practices to support positive and enhanced mental health functioning.

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year verified post-master’s experience providing mental health treatment including psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment with children and families.
  • Current clearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State Criminal, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification

Education Requirement:

Individuals who provide individual services through mobile therapy services shall meet one of the following.

  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker.
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with a least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop treatment plan and crisis plans with the child, family, and team that are developmentally appropriate and strengths based. Treatment plans should consist of case conceptualization, any assessments and data collected, family and child strengths, clinical needs, and a plan/criteria for discharge from services.
  • Treatment planning should involve the families, clients and other team members. Treatment goals need to be congruent with other interventions that may be implemented from the BC.
  • Develop and monitor therapeutic techniques for effectiveness.
  • Attend interagency meetings to coordinate design of treatment plan and BHRS services recommendations.
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with regulations and clinical best practices.
  • Provide services in schools on a regular basis. This includes maintaining clinical sessions with the child and family as prescribed and provide therapeutic interventions to support treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with all team members in the implementation of treatment interventions as needed.
  • In conjunction with the team, make clinically appropriate referrals and recommendations for effective discharge planning.
  • Coordinate with team members periodically or as needed to support treatment process.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to client treatment including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments etc.
  • Maintain supervision requirements with supervisor as required.
  • Maintains training requirements, licensure or certification as applicable.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training programs as required.
