Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.
Locations: COVID-19 testing is conducted at the Generations sites in Willimantic, Danielson and Putnam, but our community pop up testing sites could also be anywhere in the service area our health centers serve (Willimantic, Norwich, Putnam & Killingly areas)
JOB SUMMARY: The COVID Testing Assistant will support the organizations effort to provide COVID testing at our office locations and in community settings. This individual will collaborate with our existing team to facilitate high quality, best practice COVID testing according to company policy and procedure. The role will require a high degree of comfort and confidence dealing with the public, and will include hands-on care for individuals seeking testing for COVID-19. Additional responsibilities will include charting of tests performed, communication of negative results to patients by phone, and answering COVID test related questions from members of the community with guidance from the COVID RN.
QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant with documented education/experience. A current CPR/BLS ia required. Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred in testing areas of Willimantic/Norwich. Typing and computer skills essential. Experience in a primary care setting or COVID response a plus.
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour
