(E2/E3, Front-End or FullStack Preferred)

THE POSITION:

· A Software Engineer performs software design and development in accordance with organization standards, participating in and devising solution approaches through analytical thinking.

· They work in a team-oriented environment to produce the best results in the given constraints.

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Deliver development outcomes in software design and development in accordance with organization architecture and standards, participating in and devising solution approaches through analytical thinking

· Analyze business requirements from a technical perspective and determine technical solutions

· Fully participate in the software development process and quality assurance activities in order to improve product quality

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Articulate requirements

· Create and review design specifications and technical solutions for small-medium solutions

· Implement well-structured code aligned to product architecture, considering robustness, modularity, and testability

· Review and provide feedback to assist development standards being kept in line with organization standards

· Fully participate in and provide feedback on the company's software development methodology

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelor’s Degree/Graduate diploma in Science/Computer Science/Software Engineering, IT Certification or similar) or equivalent practical experience

· Proven working experience in software development

· Desired development experience: Front-end development: 2+ years Javascript

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

· Experience with React desirable

· Knowledge of software development and quality processes, especially Agile development methodologies

· Positive work attitude and keen to learn

· Clear spoken and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff
