HR Generalist

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking an HR Generalist for a contract opportunity with a commercial insurance company.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day HR support for all Human Resources clients, including: recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding, compensation analysis, performance management, and reporting/analytics.
  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews for hiring managers
  • Support and consult on current salary offerings in an effort to be competitive on a state-wide basis
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with clients and managers to ensure that HR strategy is aligned with those of the business
  • Drive implementation of key HR programs such as succession planning, performance management and compensation programs
  • Coach managers to drive greater productivity and high engagement
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Provide guidance on organization design, workforce planning, learning and development and succession planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Experienced in full cycle recruiting
  • ATS and HRIS experience is required.  Workday experience is a plus
  • Well versed on HR compliance laws on a state-wide basis
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi –task in an environment that is driven by tight deadlines
