R&D Operator (Temp-To-Perm) x2 - 2nd Shift

Location
: Cambridge, MA

Pay Rate
: up to $25/hr

Hours : 2pm - 11pm

Position Title : R&D Operator

The R&D Operator will work under the direction of the Engineering Operations Manager and/or the Lead Technician to support cell manufacturing and parts preparation.

Primary responsibilities of this position include
(1) battery assembly and
(2) basic materials preparation

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate and clean on a manual and/or semi-automated battery assembly line
• Prepare inactive materials for daily cell building activities; requires operating mechanical process equipment

Secondary Responsibilities
• Support other development work as directed by supervisor

Qualifications :
• High School diploma required
• Demonstrated electro-mechanical skills preferred
• Must be reliable with an impressive attendance record
• High attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods of time
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook email applications

• 0-2 years relevant technical experience required Areas of Independent Action

Supervisory Responsibility

• N/A

Physical and Environmental Standards
• Capable of working in low moisture dry room environment: < 1.0% Relative Humidity (-50°C dew point)
• Capable of wearing clean room attire when working in dry room environment: face mask, hair net, safety glasses, gloves, coverall suit and shoe covers
• Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs

• Capable of working early morning and evenings
• Willing to go the extra mile to get things done

• Must maintain a safe work environment and won’t compromise safety for production
