Functional Analyst/BA
Software Resources has an immediate, contract job opportunity for a Functional Analyst/BA with a major corporation in Orlando, FL. 4 days per week on-site.
Description :
This is more of a Functional Analyst than Business Analyst:
The Functional Analyst is a key representative of the Corporate Technology team responsible for providing support and driving continuous improvement in the SCV platform. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including stakeholder engagement, requirement refinement, and collaboration with project participants in a variety of roles including engineers, developers, functional testers, project managers, product owners, product managers, and customer stakeholders.
The Functional Analyst is an integral, strategic partner that can navigate complex, variable business conditions, guide business customers from requirements gathering through product release, and balance a complex set of requirements within the Agile methodology best practices. This role requires a self-motivated candidate who can manage work independently and use critical analytical thinking skills to ensure successful delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
• Serve as technology and process functional expert for the application platform.
• Gather business requirements for implementation and enhancement of platform features, functionality, and components.
• Author clear and concise Agile user stories with the appropriate level of detail and acceptance criteria.
• Work with customers to create and refine necessary business process flows.
• Partner with project manager(s) to ensure adherence to project schedule.
• Interact with platform users to understand and document their current process and requirements as the platform matures.
• Manage workload to prioritize and adhere to planned and communicated project delivery dates.
• Manage SCV user access workflow in ServiceNow with proper platform access levels and approvals.
• Daily management of Globalscape, Keystone, job queues, for current and future integrations.
• Ability to navigate Snowflake databases to assist users with additional data needs or investigating data issues found by business users.
• Working knowledge of Looker dashboards and reports. These will be reviewed with business partners on a regular basis.
• Partner with team to facilitate creation of business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation as necessary.
• Work with the SCV development, Solution Engineering, & product teams to create and refine stories from business requirements.
• Create clear, succinct, & testable acceptance criteria for quality assurance teams to create automated and manual test cases for each story.
• Collaborate with development & QA teams to facilitate and resolve issue resolution.
• Lead and coordinate the UAT process with business stakeholders and coordinate any needed changes.
• Partner with the development- team to assist with documenting reported issues from end-users post-release.
• Work with business customers, developers, and internal & vendor support teams to research, document, and resolve the reported issues.
• Review, analyze, and create the specifications for any enhancement requests.
• Test, verify, and approve the results of the implemented solutions and enhancements.
• Partner with project manager and engineering team to plan releases and ensure all necessary sign-off has been provided by necessary stakeholders
o Technical Skills : Candidates should have some technical experience, including understanding databases and user access management through ServiceNow
o Business Interaction : They need to be proficient in English and capable of gathering and documenting business requirements, asking probing questions, and translating these into user stories for the development team. Will work across multiple functions and teams having real conversations with business partners and must be able to walk though front to back asking probing questions. Internal client could be Legal, Global Public Policy, Trade Management.
o ServiceNow Proficiency: While not needing to be ServiceNow administrators, they should be able to learn and use ServiceNow for managing sprints, user stories, and user access workflows. Must have tactical experience understanding what a database is.
• Additional Skills: Experience in troubleshooting data issues, validating requirements, and ensuring QA processes align with business needs is essential
