The ULS Sales Engineer is a champion and advocate for our laser material processing technology and plays a critical role in our sales process by providing technical knowledge and assistance to our sales channel. The Sales Engineer owns the technical aspect of the sales cycle through a variety of activities, such as demonstrating system capabilities, including software or application demonstrations. The Sales Engineer engages in pre-sales consulting with prospects while working with internal stakeholders to meet customer requirements and to uncover additional applications of our laser technology. Sales engineers continually collaborate with customers (post-sale) to maximize ROI by assisting customers with new value-creating processes and usages of laser material processing technology.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering degree from ABET-accredited college or university
0-2 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering
Working knowledge and experience with CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
Working knowledge of analytical instruments used in materials science and high precision machining Outstanding communicator (oral and written) toward a technical audience
Ambition to work with end customers to solve their material processing and business problem
Highly adaptable and able to work effectively with incomplete information
