Job Description

Job Title: Travel Coordinator
Department: Crew Scheduling
Reports To: Manager – Crew Scheduling
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1.Respond to all requests from crew scheduling and other departments to book the least expensive commercial travel for crews and other company employees who are traveling on company business.
2.Book hotels and ground transportation as requested for crew members and other company employees who are traveling on company business.
3.Update the crew scheduling software to reflect the travel arrangements made
4.Effectively communicate this information to concerned parties. 5.Account for tickets/hotels purchased by location, date and cost.
6.Ensure all unused tickets/hotels/ground transport arrangements are cancelled and credited back to the company. 7.Ensure all non-refundable ticket credits are utilized to the maximum extent possible.
8.Work with the travel company software provider to maximize utilization of their system.
9.Time permitting- work with employee’s to advise on least expensive personal travel.
10.From time to time additional hours may be required.
11.Any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, At least 3 years’ experience working with an airline CRS program. A thorough knowledge of airline operations and understanding of crew scheduling.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seated at a desk working with a computer.
Work is performed primarily in a 24/7 operations office that is very busy. From time to time additional short notice hours may be required due to the airline operation.
