Position Details:
RN - Emergency Room Nurse, Med-Surg Adult- Cordova, AK
Location : 602 Chase Ave Cordova, AK 99574
Project Duration : 15 Weeks
Shift Timing : 6pm -6am
Job Description:
A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) plays a vital role in providing rapid, high-quality care to patients in urgent or critical condition. Their responsibilities are fast-paced and wide-ranging.
· Triage Patients
- Assess and prioritize patient care based on the severity of condition.
- Quickly identify life-threatening issues.
· Provide Direct Patient Care
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Start IVs, manage wounds, and perform basic procedures (e.g., catheterizations, ECGs).
- Assist with emergency interventions (e.g., CPR, intubation support).
· Monitor Patient Status
- Continuously assess vital signs and symptoms.
- Recognize and act on signs of deterioration.
· Collaborate with ED Team
- Work with physicians, nurse practitioners, paramedics, and other staff.
- Communicate effectively to ensure coordinated care.
RN with ED experience required, as well as Med-Surg /Acute. Start date: 6.23.2025 Required: AK License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC - no exceptions.
ALASKA LICENSE AND ALL CURRENT CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
