Job Description

Looking for staff to achieve a homelike environment based on values of individual self-worth, dignity, equality and respect.  Staff will provide functional skills training, social/interpersonal experiences, health services, community support activities and opportunities for inclusion to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that reside in a community residential setting under the District of Columbia's licensing rules and regulations.  Staff will also coach/support people in ADL skill building; including personal hygiene, bathing, meal prep, dressing, toileting etc.  

MUST be experienced in sign language and interpretation for individuals needs.  Should be able to perform health related tasks including giving prescribed medications (as a certified TME)

Staff will participate in various regularly scheduled duties including household chores, emergency drills, meal prep, grocery shopping etc. in accordance with assigned schedules and regulations in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of individuals supported.  

Job Requirements

Minimum HS diploma

Fluent with Sign Language (ASL)
