Accounting and HR Manager needed in the Roseville area for an established Marketing & Communications company. This position is a Full-time Temp to Hire opportunity for the right candidate who can perform the duties below.
Financial Accounting (20%)
Close books monthly, with required month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close.
Prepare month-end bank account, credit card, and cashflow reconciliations.
Assist with year-end review requests from the CPA, IRS, etc.
General Accounting (40%)
A/P and A/R reconciliation and processing on accrual basis in QuickBooks, job tracking and reporting
Credit card processing; Interface with bank for wires and electronic transfers and mobile check deposits
Perform Accounts Receivable and collections calls
Payroll and associated HR liability reconciliation
Complete sales/use tax returns
Manage employee benefits and reconcile liabilities
HR and Payroll Management (40%)
Liaise with outsourced HR administrator to run bi-weekly payroll, manage hiring process, onboard new hires, administer benefits, etc.
Provide and gather new employee info, tax documentation, and on-boarding documents
Develop and improve existing HR policies, procedures, and execution with help from external firm
Assist with internal projects office administrative tasks as requested.
Organize and keep all accounting and personnel files.
Ability to think strategically and execute operations.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Strong diagnostic and decision quality skills.
Experience identifying organizational trends and developing HR solutions to improve performance.
California Employment Law familiarity
Computer savvy and proficient in QuickBooks online.
Able to see the big picture and execute strategic initiatives for the company (such as HIPAA and SOC2 compliance, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred
2-6 years’ experience in an accounting environment, including monthly financial close and reporting functions.
Advanced understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
Comfortable with Payroll and HR administration
Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
