Site Manager/Leader:

Direct responsibility for all day to day site product control, EHS, manufacturing, project engineering, maintenance, S&OP planning, and local warehousing.


  • You will have full understanding of customer requirements, particularly in the area of quality working with the entire operations team to implement programs to meet and exceed customer requirements. Continuously looking for ways to identify and drive continuous improvement through the manufacturing supply chain while developing and utilizing KPIs and working with the DMAIC process.
  • Focuses activities of the operating functions including planning, plant layout, plant changes, engineering, equipment selection, manufacturing methods, design for production, production planning, introduction of new or modified products, equipment capacity, labor capacity, and product mix changes.
  • Manages various activities of the operating functions through people from hiring and training, to coaching, motivation, performance management and developing/improving skills.
  • Manages operation meeting planned profit levels in order to identify and correct non-justified expenses; monitor performance against cycle time and schedules ensuring manufacturing performance is consistent with quality requirements and ensure alignment between methods engineering and work measurement
  • Identify and remove barriers to meeting objectives and communication issues within manufacturing
  • Participate and lead task force activities to meet customer quality and delivery requirements when supply chain excursions occur.
  • Directs the EHS department, ensuring compliance with legal, ISO14001, OSHAS18001, ISO9001 and FFEM requirements in the area of occupational safety, product safety and the environment throughout for the FFEM business.
  • Direct the Maintenance department to effectively develop and utilize available resources in order to preserve physical assets while safely providing continuous availability of manufacturing equipment at the most economic level possible.
  • Direct Quality Control in their efforts to control incoming raw materials, bulk and intermediate materials and finished products to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
  • Direct Manufacturing in their effort to meet customer demand requirements for product quantity and quality.
  • Ensure Inventory Management is effectively utilizing S&OP process tools to leverage company assets in order to maximize profitably and efficiency.
  • Lead key projects ensuring they meet project scope, budgeted cost and project timelines as directed by Sr Management.
  • Act as crisis manager ensuring division crisis plans are activated according to plan acting as the authorized communication contact for internal and external groups and authorities.
  • Identify, develop, communicate and implement local objectives and targets in line with the company's overall goals.
  • A member of the global management team essential in identifying and developing long term global plans and business objectives.
  • Prepare an annual capital expenditure plan and operational expense budget for review with senior management. Plan and communicate manufacturing budget and resource requirements providing product costing for new and modified products as well as efficient utilization of manufacturing resources.
  •  Complies with defined Quality, Environmental and Safety policies assisting with projects in continual improvement to insure the highest company performance.


  • Required BS Chemical Engineering, MS and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably high purity chemicals or pharmaceutical fluids as well as 5 years min progressive management experience supervising and leading management teams including 5 years hands-on site/operations management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management experience.
  • Sales, marketing & other similar experience requiring regular customer interface preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead others.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply learning to drive continuous improvement.


  • Experience with quality and safety systems
  • Project Management, PMP preferred
  • People management and conflict resolution skills as well as experience with crisis management
  • Practical and theoretical experience in organizational design and structure
  • Problem diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supply chain management
  • Solid public speaking experience and effective presentation skills
