Assists Dining Services regular staff with service, support, and sanitation tasks related to the service of food to customers in campus dining halls includes:
- Front and Back of House Operations:
- Tasks may include serving prepared foods; assisting in the preparation of foods; stocking food, supplies, and dishware; setting up or taking down food service stations; cleaning dishes, pots and pans, and food service facilities, including tables, chairs, counter tops and floors; and observing departmental standards for safety, sanitation and personal hygiene.
Must be comfortable working with: Fryers, Grills, Flat top, no open flame, Steamers, Induction Cook Tops, Convection Ovens, and Warmers.
Work Environment: dining room, kitchen, or dish room
Excellent customer service skills, capable of engaging in friendly interaction with customers. Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting, bending, twisting, and carrying bulky objects or equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively
