Mitsubishi Electric's Power Quality Compensator (PQC) is a power electronics-based Volt/Var Control product for electrical distribution market customers requiring improved voltage stability and autonomous real or reactive power control. By advancing the technology beyond the traditional D-STATCOM, and thru the addition of advanced features, Mitsubishi Electric will engineer a solution to fit the grid application with a single device.
In this newly created home-based role (anywhere in the USA) you will develop business by selling Volt-var optimization (VVO) and Volt-var Compensation (VVC) power quality solutions and related equipment and controls to utility, EPC, developer and commercial/industrial customers for the Electrical Distribution Division (EDD) with Mitsubishi Electric Power Products (MEPPI).
Prepare and submit Company technical and commercial budgetary and firm proposals for products/services in response to customer’s needs, bid requests, RFP’s and RFQ’s. Clarify questions related to the RFP directly with potential customers.
Manage the bid review process, develop bid review presentations and complete all related forms and documents including risk assessments, financials, compliance, insurance, safety, and federal and state requirements, etc. Prepare and issue offer and commercial letters.
Conduct formal bid kick-off meetings with all relevant EDD departments. Highlight technical and commercial risks. Ensure bid schedule is conveyed, distributed and adhered to.
Interface with EDD’s QA, Procurement, Operations, Field Service and Engineering staff to support all technical and commercial proposals.
Participate in review and identification of issues and coordinate resolutions and responses related to commercial terms and conditions.
Prepare Red-Book and Terms and Conditions Summary documents.
Create marketing material and conduct technical presentations for customers. Lead meetings with customers. Maintain marketing and bid documents.
Create and maintain accurate bid forecasts and quotation documents for application engineering, manufacturing, product delivery and field service commitments.
Recommend prices to support the Company’s margin requirements and reflect market price.
Lead response to customer specifications, bid requests, RFP’s and RFQ’s. Serve as EDD Sales subject matter expert on technical matters, as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related degree with a minimum 7 years of experience with inverters, power quality, energy management systems, power conversion and related equipment in the utility and industrial market, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of VVO/VVC, grid optimization controls, and emerging applications.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers, suppliers and employees.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize activities and work well in a team environment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material
Located near a major airport a must.
