IT Project Manager
This role includes overall project management, communications, developing and maintaining project roadmaps, schedules etc.as well as facilitating the project teams’ daily work and removing obstacles or impediments faced by the team.
Role & Duties:
Ensure overall successful project deliveries (on-time, on-budget, high quality, meeting business outcomes)
Collaborate with IT leadership, business representatives, and project leads to define and prioritize initiatives.
Drive alignment of feature content across businesses, aligning with the strategic goals of each business and the company at large.
Overall responsible for sprint planning & sequencing - driving the decomposition from strategy to feature to user story.
Partner with the scrum master to drive completion of sprint-level activities, identifying and removing roadblocks and negotiating dependencies across teams.
Manage schedule, working with vendors to ensure proper resource capacity to meet demand.
Responsible for all project communication, action item management, risk identification and management.
Responsible for keeping the project data updated on a regular basis as well as providing input as needed for senior leadership review

Provides timely updates to the IT leads, functional leads, IT PMO, and key stakeholders by producing regular status reports and steering governance updates
Facilitate the teams daily work including all the scheduled meetings
Create a collaborative environment which allows the team and stakeholders to interact closely
Remove the obstacles or impediments faced by the team in its work
Mentor the team members to adopt truly Agile mindset, including ownership, self-management and empowerment
Analytical skills - ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound decisions
People skills - a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts
Project management skills – ability to drive & lead meetings independently, create and execute project plans, proactively manage risks/issues, maintain compliance with company project management processes
Excellent oral and written communication skills: Identifies opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to respond to the situation.
Ability to drive productive conversations and team meetings. Active listening skills.
Proficient in basic Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides) as well as Atlassian application (Jira and Confluence)
Experience using Agile, Scaled Agile, Scrum AND Waterfall methodologies on projects, with heavy emphasis on Agile/SCRUM.
Any previous client work experience or experience in managing IT projects for a similar industry is preferable
Self motivated and able to work independently

Qualification and Experience:
8+ years in IT project management
Experience in Agile and Scaled Agile Framework
Proven experience in using Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Additional preferred certification and experience:
Experience in IT Service Desk or related services
Scrum Master certification
Knowledge of Change Management to ensure service adoption .
Communication, problem solving, passion to learn. Software to know: Jira or agile , Confluence, Google Workspace.
Onsite or remote or temp remote due offices being closed to COVID: remote during COVID, onsite in Chicago once we go back
Work Schedule: standard hours, 8-5pm CST with hour lunch
Training duration: we don't want to train them on any PM skills, but there will be a ramp up time on the technology and team
