 REPORTS TO: PRODUCT LINE MANAGER

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT PRODUCT LINE MANAGER

DATE: May 6, 2019

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Product Line Manager assists the product development and design throughout the entire product development life cycle.

Work Performed:

Assists the PLM with all details of the product design life cycle from concept to delivery.

Tasks:

a.  Assists PLM in execution of respective product lines

b.  Coordinates sample check ins, tags, measuring and organization

c.  In charge of shipping out sample and reference materials to vendors and sale meetings- etc

d.  Updates line sheets and POGs- per season, new sets etc based on PLM’s direction

e.  Assists in updates to BOMs

f.  Sends out data packages/supplier requests to vendors (continuously throughout the development process)

g.  Assists with the creation of styles in centric

h.  Reviews inspection reports and provides comments to PI?

i.  Follows up on running changes to product, packaging, carton markings, etc.

i.  Coordinates filling out the packaging intake sheet for packaging manager

j.  Sends lab dip, material standard comments to the vendors

i.  File lab dip comment sheets in Centric/binders

k.  Works with PI to test samples

l.  Coordinates sample comments from Design/PI/PLM in Centric

i.  Releases comments to factory through Centric/Box.com/Email

m.  Updates item load/dimension information in Centric from development through TOP’s

n.  Tracks sample due dates/shipments in Centric

i.  Continuously in communication with factories to ensure due dates are met

o.  Creates POG assets for new items

p.  Track samples from factories

q.  Confirms HTS classification with Tradewin when necessary using HTS code template

r.  Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Other:

 Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access, Power Point, etc

 Strong Knowledge of Illustrator

 Skilled at communication across all levels of an organization as well as with external partners

 Attention to detail

 Ability to take direction from manager

 Ability to train others on systems, processes and software updates

 Thorough understanding of business

 Ability to learn quickly and take on more duties

 Ability to work independently

 Skilled at meeting deadlines

 Ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams

 Knowledge of or the ability to learn the entire PD process

Education: BS in Merchandising, Business or Marketing

Years of experience: 1 year of experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Other:
