The OS&D Claims Analyst / Administrative Assistant provides necessary administrative support to the Claims Supervisor, and is responsible for maintenance of daily tasks, and investigation and determination of freight claims.

  • Receive, control and enter incoming claims
  • Monitor and review claims for completion and proper documentation
  • Distribute acknowledgements
  • Manage internal and external correspondence, including letters, emails, memos, etc.
  • Manage incoming customer/internal emails and mail
  • Scan all required claim documentation
  • Responsible for processing payment letters and check distribution
  • Manage Interline correspondence and process payment checks
  • Primary phone and email contact for the Claims Department
  • Manage and coordinate weekly claim payment reports with payables
  • Investigate and determine the proper course of action for new claims, interline claims, and disputed claims
  • Continually work with the Claims Supervisor on accounts with a high claim ratio
  • Understands and applies various computer software program knowledge to improve processes

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Teams
  • Strong attention to detail and processes
  • Experience with or knowledge of OS&D (Over, Short and Damaged) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
