AVIATION ENGINE MECHANIC

Location: Opa-Locka, FL

Permanent Position – US Citizens or Green Card Holders Only.

This aviation company, located in the Opa-locka area of North Miami-Dade, is looking for full-time, well-qualified, energetic, and motivated people to join their growing team of aviation professionals. The Aviation Engine Mechanic position will be key to the long-term success of the team. Basic Function:

Perform Maintenance level repairs and Overhauls of Rolls Royce T56/501 engines in accordance with approved data and published work scopes.

Essential duties are as follows but are not limited to:

 Disassembly, sub-assembly and final assembly of Rolls Royce T56/501 engines.

 Inspection of engine parts and related components.

 Build engines using configuration & fit requirements.

 Perform all proper servicing procedures.

 Ensure all work is performed IAW posted work scopes.

Requirements:

 Due to regulatory requirements of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

 Prior experience as an aviation mechanic, with an emphasis on the overhaul and repair of engines.

 Willing and able to learn.

 Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.

 Knowledge of aviation engines and components.

 Must speak and write English and have toolbox.

Desired:

 Powerplant certification desired.

 Experience as a test cell operator.

 2-5 years of MRO experience.

 Experience in the repair and overhaul of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).

 Experience in Field Service work on related engines or aircraft.
