Shriners Hospitals for Children is looking for a Director of Surgical Services. The position provides leadership and direction for staff to support the hospital mission, vision, values, and plan for provision of patient care services. Accountable and responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and evaluating clinical practice, patient care, and operations of the department. The Director is responsible for all aspects of management of fiscal and human resources delegated to the department. Assures orientation, in-service, and continuing education for staff. Conducts studies to determine areas of performance improvement. Department goals are developed in collaboration with Director of Patient Care Services. Is an active member of the Nurse Executive Committee and Patient Care Services Committee. Participates in hospital committees as assigned.

Bachelors of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution
Current Louisiana Nursing licensure
Five (5) year's experience in the Operating Room (Surgical Services)
Five (5) year's Pediatric & Orthopedic experience
One (1) year experience management of perioperative department
BLS & PALs certification
Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution
