Payroll Administrator Downtown $60k - $65k
Will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting. This position is responsible for the administration of the firm’s time and attendance and payroll systems. The essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze, prepare and input payroll data using automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Maintain n related payroll records, file tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, process involuntary
Deductions such as levies and garnishments, prepare accounting transactions and documents, document and
update procedures, and prepare special reports for management.
• Timely and accurately process payroll, including tax withholding status, garnishments, deductions, overtime
calculations, and vacation accruals.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Work closely with Human
Resources and assist with HRIS implementation, testing, maintenance, and security.
• Research and resolve problems, performs scheduled activities, and liaisons with service providers.
• Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports and queries. Conduct appropriate audits to ensure data
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred. Ultimate software (UltiPro) experience preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance and payroll administration and processing. Must be able to perform under stress, determine priorities, and meet deadlines. Unquestionable integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive and personal information. Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheets, Word, and Outlook. Strong communications skills to interact with all levels of the organization. Requires regular and predictable attendance during the assigned work schedule.
Trial LS / Paralegal Hybrid Addison $55k - $58k
5+ years of Litigation (trial) experience. Steady work history, Well versed in trial prep, hearing set up and docketing. Strong secretarial skills along with paralegal experience. Must have strong organizational skills. Type routine correspondence and documents/pleadings. manner. Accurately court file by appropriate means any legal documentation, being mindful of time and date deadlines. Must use WordPerfect and Word. Be open to overtime during trials. Proficient in current Word/WordPerfect applications, Excel, e-filing, type 75+ wpm.
Family Law Paralegals (2) N. Dallas $50k - $65k
3+ years of Family Law experience. Proficient with e-filing and discovery. Board Certified a plus.
Litigation Legal Assistant Galleria $65k - $75k
The process from the beginning of a case to the end, is generally the same on all cases and will typically run anywhere from two months (for cases that settle) to a year. Most of the legal assistants work requires the use of templates for pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., e-filing and keeping their attorney’s calendar/docket up to date at all times. Unlike commercial litigation where a practice may have a moderate number of large cases, this firm’s case files are very small but have a tremendous volume. Because there are so many cases for each attorney and legal assistant to handle, attention to detail and organization is essential. You must be proactive and manage you attorney’s docket effectively, making sure their attorney is where he/she needs to be every day. You must be able to follow up, follow up, follow up and not be shy about reminding your attorney (repeatedly, if necessary) of deadlines and getting essential documents and answers from the attorney when they are not responsive. Since they have so many cases, these attorneys are flooded with emails every day. The most effective way to get answers from them is to ask face-to-face to which they are all very receptive. Basically, the legal assistants that work well in this practice have taken ownership of and manage their attorney’s practice.

Bankruptcy Paralegal Downtown $85k - $115k
Assist in various stages of the bankruptcy process and support attorneys in the Commercial Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice involving Chapter 11 cases and related litigation. The essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drafts shell/non-substantive notices, motions, affidavits, orders, briefs, and other court filings based on past precedent and drafts bankruptcy petitions. Uses Pacer, Relativity, and other bankruptcy and litigation management resources. Pulls cases on Westlaw and Lexis and cite-checks - "Blue booking". Monitors dockets for relevant pleadings, conducts docket searches and pulls and organizes docket filings. Prepares attorneys for hearings, including organizing exhibits and preparing hearing binders.
Files documents with the courts. Prepares fee applications. Files proofs of claim. Monitors dockets for committee formations. Monitors various resources for distressed portfolio companies. Identifies opportunities for attendance and sponsorship of restructuring events. Prepares and coordinates business development opportunities. Billable hours requirement is 1650 hours. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred. 5+ years of experience and a strong background in commercial bankruptcy required. Strong demonstrated knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, the legal process, electronic case filing, and electronic research technology (LexisNexis, Westlaw, Internet, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and various other software and databases. Self-starter and team-oriented, with an ability to work across offices via virtual connection or occasional travel.

The Dallas office is seeking a Practice Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys and assigned legal personnel; maintain positive client relations; maintain the integrity of attorney-client confidentiality; and other assigned Firm-related administrative tasks under general supervision. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Minimum of 3 years legal experience. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Types a minimum of 50 WPM. Basic computer skills are required, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of Elite Enterprise and Adobe are also needed.
