Job Description

Bridgewater client seeks Electrical Maintenance Mechanic. Salary ranging $20.00-$25.00 per hour. Will be working 3rd shift from 11:00PM - 7:30AM; Monday - Friday (OT potential; can work up to 60 hours/week). Temp-to-Hire

Job Description: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.

- Able to change motors, bearings, and motor brushes.

Troubleshoot industrial equipment

Knowledgeable in Electrical 1ph, 3ph

Plan mounting and wiring on non-standard products. 

Alter mounting and wiring of standard products to meet special requirements. 

Make adjustments as required.  Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as mills, saws, straighteners, programmable controllers and other electrical production-related equipment.

Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.

Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. 

Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Machinists, Mechanics and Maintenance Manager to diagnose malfunction. 

Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, AC and DC drives, temperature controller, PLC's touch screens and position sensing devices.  Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.

 Replace electric motors and brushes. Program and troubleshoot PLC programs. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

 Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. 

 Conducts preventative maintenance on various pieces of production-related equipment.

Special Requirements:  

Education:  High School or equivalent.    

Certifications, Licenses, etc.:  Technical certificate(s) a plus.

Experience:  Knowledge of welding principles and use of welding equipment a plus
