JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Youth Ministry Director leads the Middle and High School Ministries within the Family Life Zone, with a passion to help teenagers develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
They provide vision, leadership, and resources, develop annual budgets and strategic plans, and oversee staff and volunteers, ensuring proper training and screening.
The role involves program development, including midweek and weekend teaching, coordinating events, retreats, and service projects, and fostering relationships with students, families, and other ministries.
They offer spiritual guidance, promote intergenerational connections, and participate in church services and events.
The position requires availability on Wednesdays, weekends, and holidays, attendance at staff meetings, and maintaining office hours.
Qualifications include Christ-like character, pastoral gifting, team-building skills, effective communication, understanding of adolescent development, and alignment with the church’s statement of faith. A Bible college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
