Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 Hours Weekly (Additional Hours May Be Available Based on Department Needs)
Compensation
Traveler Pay: $54–$57/hr ($2,160–$2,280 Weekly) (Based on Experience)
Local Pay: $40–$43/hr ($1,600–$1,720 Weekly) (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join a busy Orthopedic Clinic within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining patient safety, and supporting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and general medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Conduct imaging procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine, pelvis, chest, and thorax studies.
- Assist with fluoroscopic and surgical procedures utilizing C-Arm technology.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
- Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide efficient patient care.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.
- Support imaging needs in orthopedic, emergency, trauma, and surgical environments as required.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Licensure & Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification required.
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of X-Ray Technologist experience required.
- Experience in orthopedic imaging preferred.
- Level I Trauma experience required.
- Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Operating Room (OR) settings preferred.
- Experience utilizing C-Arm equipment during surgical procedures required.
