The job is to assist in the management of all aspects of FOH Service including but not limited to:


Setting, driving and maintaining all levels of hospitality including:

  • Motivating and mentoring staff's knowledge and development
  • Inspiring and delighting our guests
  • Committing oneself to excellence in food, wine and service


- Hiring, training, developing, scheduling and management of FOH Service staff

- Oversee all points of service during the shift including table maintenance, wine & cocktail service, touching tables, engaging with staff & guests.

- Assist in the management of and meeting of the budgeted financial goals of the business including COGS, labor and operating expenses.

- Maintain quality control by investigating and resolving issues as they arise and consulting with the GM/owner whenever necessary

- Comply with all safety, health and beverage regulations to protect against all business liability

- Enforce sanitary practices for general cleanliness

- Must have the ability to assist staff training and development programs

- Motivate, lead and inspire staff with exceptional communication skills

- Successfully execute all company policies and procedures

- Participate in all operational procedures at their highest level

- Perform other duties as assigned by the GM or owner


The Manager must be self-motivated, driven, inspiring and hospitality driven. They must also have keen people and business skills which include communication skills, motivation skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and business skills. As important is the ability to maintain a positive team-oriented and supportive attitude. The Manager's job is multi-faceted and incorporates all of the above attributes in order to balance the needs of the GM, owner, the guests and staff ensuring the overall success of the business.

This position does require a working knowledge of basic office skills including but not limited to:
  • Creating & editing word documents
  • Creating & editing menus and wine & cocktail lists
  • Excel spreadsheet generation & data input
  • POS backend management
  • App based scheduling program
  • OpenTable management
  • Event booking platform
  • Inventory tracking program
  • Scanning & saving documents
  • Dropbox/Google Docs
  • Outlook/email
Brasserie 19 boasts an extensive wine program. All managers are required to have or willing to obtain a Level 1 certificate from The Court of Master Sommeliers or the equivalent through experience.
