Field construction professionals are needed for travel-based roles supporting USAF Noise Suppressors, including Engine Test Cells and Hush Houses on military installations nationwide and overseas.
Job Overview
Responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, and installing structural steel and metal systems on USAF facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding (MIG & Stick, mainly 7018 carbon steel)
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Install structural steel and metal components
- Conduct rigging, bolting, alignment, and fabrication
- Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and torches
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years welding or ironworking experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Structural steel experience preferred
- Physically capable of demanding environments
- Willing to travel full-time
