Key Responsibilities
• Assemble and position structural steel components in accordance with detailed blueprints and technical specifications.
• Conduct layout work, measurements, material marking, and surface preparation prior to welding.
• Execute tack welds and perform MIG welding throughout the fabrication and assembly process as required.
• Operate plasma cutters, torches, and additional shop tools to trim and modify materials.
• Utilize precision measuring tools (tape measure, framing square, level, templates) to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior welders or shop helpers during fitting and assembly tasks.
• Keep the workspace orderly and ensure full compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (valid documentation required).
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Demonstrated experience assembling and fitting intricate metal structures.
• Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
• Proficient in plasma and torch cutting equipment, as well as MIG welding processes.
• Preferred credentials include OSHA safety training and familiarity with AWS welding standards.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for prolonged periods, and working in environments exposed to heat, dust, and noise.
• Strong dedication to maintaining safety, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
• $23.00 per hour starting pay.
