This position will be based at MCB Camp Pendleton

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, gather and review requirements collection supporting the design and implementation of Cisco VoIP system and associated wired network systems.
  • Perform site surveys to support VoIP systems design and associated network support fielding to include identifying device placement and materials required to implement and configure systems.
  • Creates and delivers extensive documentation of the design, device location, required materials and integration approach for the VoIP/wired network.
  • Relies on extensive knowledge of networks to facilitate the design of VoIP/wired LAN/WAN systems and enable their integration into an existing wired network.
  • Performs test and evaluation of VoIP/wired networks to confirm performance and security in accordance with established thresholds.
  • Supports design and tests of prototype network components and configurations to validate designs prior to fielding as required
  • Provides recommendations to eliminate problems and make improvements.
  • Provides and authors detailed technical documentation to include proposal documentation, integration instructions, assembly.
  • Trains technicians and junior engineers.
  • Leads and directs the work of others to include team members and subcontractors.
  • Provide quality control/inspection of site work done by subordinates and subcontractors
