Location: New York

Pay: $1,440 per week

Shifts: Evenings, weekends, holidays, on call/callback per unit needs - 40 hours/week

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in New York. This state-of-the-art role involves working within a top-tier decontamination and sterilization facility, using advanced equipment to maintain the highest standards in instrument processing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans and procedural trays
  • Operate steam sterilizers and perform simple maintenance
  • Check and adjust medical equipment to meet specifications
  • Decontaminate surgical instruments and prevent cross-contamination
  • Receive, store, and document supplies, and maintain inventory records
  • Perform quality assurance on all sterile supplies and instruments

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician
  • Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD)
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as SPT
  • Large hospital experience (500 bed plus)
  • Must have travel experience (6 months)
  • 2 professional references from the last two experiences
