Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor / Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST) to oversee daily operations within a large, state-of-the-art off-site sterile processing and reprocessing center in Bethpage, New York. This high-volume department supports multiple healthcare facilities, including tertiary care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, while also providing emergency sterile processing services for the surrounding region.

The Supervisor will coordinate staff activities, oversee sterilization and decontamination workflows, ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, and maintain efficient department operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive sterile processing experience, and a thorough understanding of sterilization procedures, instrumentation handling, and regulatory compliance.

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing department
• Assign daily staff responsibilities and adjust workflows as operational needs change
• Ensure compliance with sterilization standards, infection prevention policies, and departmental procedures
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instrumentation and medical equipment
• Ensure proper care, handling, and tracking of instrumentation received through decontamination areas
• Accept and manage fast-track instrumentation requests
• Maintain accurate sterilization documentation and department records
• Serve as a liaison between Sterile Processing and perioperative departments to resolve operational issues efficiently
• Monitor staff performance and support workflow optimization in a high-volume environment
• Operate and oversee equipment including STERIS Washers and Autoclaves
• Utilize SynergyTrak tracking systems for instrumentation management and documentation
• Promote a safe and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with facility dress code and infection prevention standards
