Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree) approved by the APTA.
  • Current California Physical Therapist license required by the start of the assignment.
  • Recent experience in outpatient orthopedics is required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Ability to document in electronic medical records; Cerner experience preferred.
  • Interpersonal and analytical skills to instruct patients and prioritize caseloads.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak).
  • Willingness to float to acute/inpatient care as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in inpatient/acute care (training and mentoring provided if needed).
  • Additional PT specialty experience such as pelvic health, vestibular rehab, outpatient neuro rehab, pediatrics, or lymphedema.
  • Experience with McKesson Clinical Care Station or similar hospital software.


Assignment Details

  • Work schedule: 4 days per week.
  • Shift hours: 0800-1830.
  • One weekend per month on call for approximately 0700-0900 each day (inpatient coverage).
  • Primarily outpatient caseload focusing on orthopedics, general deconditioning, balance/fall prevention, and other diagnoses based on clinician skills.
  • Primarily one-on-one patient care.
  • EMR system: Cerner.
