Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: CA Physical Therapist License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Required certifications in physical therapy - Experience in hospital settings focusing on acute care and inpatient rehab Description: Seeking a full-time physical therapist in a hospital setting with a focus on acute care and inpatient rehab and outpatient rehab. This position will be Friday through Tuesday with the ability to float between inpatient, acute rehab, and outpatient services as needed. Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that improve patient mobility. Relieves pain, increases strength, and improves or corrects disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment. Attentive monitoring and effective communication are crucial in delivering optimal patient care. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering care. Provides clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students. Plans, prepares, and implements individually designed physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning. Completes and documents patient evaluations and tests per established standards and regulatory requirements. Assesses and progresses treatment for patients per plan of care based on identified problems and diagnoses from evaluations. Coordinates patient care effectively and efficiently with other care provider and support team members. Participates in quality improvement processes and maintains a clean and safe working environment. Maintains strictest confidence of all patient protected health information and prepares services in accordance with regulations. Retains certification and completes mandated continuing education requirements to meet facility and regulatory accreditation and licensure requirements. Graduate of an accredited physical therapy graduate program is required. Experience with specific skills and patient populations is preferred but not required.
