Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must hold active license as a Physical Therapist Certifications: None specified Must-Have: - Degree in Physical Therapy - Must hold active license or plan to test for license in the near future Description: This position implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve mobility, function, and strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The Physical Therapist will maintain and update skills and certifications as necessary. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients for rehabilitation programs. Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries. Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervise Assistants regarding all aspects of patient care. Communicate with physicians and other parties to ensure quality patient care. Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. Ensure patient comfort and answer questions when necessary. Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up. Possess requisite computer skills to complete job requirements, including typing and using EMR. Make independent decisions regarding patient care. Be involved in business marketing and referral processes when necessary. Follow privacy policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with billing policies and procedures related to various pay sources is necessary. Proficiency in diagnostic and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes is required. Be physically mobile, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting patients with mobility. Supervise Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. This position requires continual mobility including walking, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting during working hours. The employee must remain alert for resident safety. No travel is expected for this position.
