Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 to 2 years preferred License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response - Proficient in accessing and managing IVs, central lines, and phlebotomy - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips Description: We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse specialized in PCU for a night shift. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts each week. This role involves caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions, including heart failure and respiratory issues. The nurse will monitor patients with telemetry and respond to emergency situations as needed. Floating between departments and units may be required based on facility needs. Weekend shifts are required. The nurse must adhere to isolation precautions while providing wound care and management. Experience with Epic charting system is preferred. The position requires strong skills in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing non-invasive airway devices. Additional skills should include familiarity with IV insulin protocols and managing surgical drains. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
