Start Date: Minimum 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received and processed by SEARHC in Juneau
Shift: Urgent care hours 8am-8pm. Shifts vary across days and hours
Duration: 18 weeks
Important Submission Requirements
- MUST have an Active Alaska RN License at the time of submission
- MUST have Urgent Care experience within the last 2 years
- Proof of Flu Vaccine is required
- Traveler must complete fingerprinting immediately upon acceptance to avoid delayed start dates
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Urgent Care for an exciting assignment in Alaska. This role functions within the Urgent Care Department and is responsible for supporting providers, clinic staff, and patients in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. The RN will assist in maintaining efficient clinic operations while delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and infection control practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support within the Urgent Care clinic
- Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and efficient clinic workflow
- Assist with clinic opening and closing procedures
- Perform patient assessments, specimen collection, and nursing interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and services
- Monitor medication inventory and clinic supplies
- Ensure quality control checks are completed for Point of Care testing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in staff meetings, educational programs, competencies, and mandatory training
