We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Bryan, TX. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain the skills needed for daily living through therapeutic activities and treatments. New graduates are welcome. Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Texas required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience implementing individualized therapy plans under OT supervision.
  • Experience documenting patient progress in an EHR used in post-acute settings.
  • Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a SNF or LTC environment.

Impacting Patient Care

Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises and activities. Monitor patient progress and report to the supervising OT. Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and safety. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care. Document treatment interventions and progress in accordance with facility policy.
