Job Summary
The Technical Solutions Sales Specialist is a consultative sales professional who combines strong technical knowledge with business development expertise to deliver integrated technology solutions. This role focuses on generating new business activities, expanding existing customer relationships, and designing solutions that address customer operational, technical, and business challenges. The specialist acts as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical capabilities into measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned accounts and target markets
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow solution adoption and recurring revenue
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements from discovery to close
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue, margin, and activity targets
Solution Consulting & Technical Expertise
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for assigned solutions, platforms, or services
- Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand customer workflows, infrastructure, and business goals
- Design and propose integrated technical solutions that address customer requirements
- Deliver solution demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Partner with engineering, implementation, and service teams to ensure solution alignment and success
Customer Engagement & Value Creation
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- Translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes and ROI-focused proposals
- Address technical objections and support customers through evaluation and decision-making processes
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through post-sale engagement and solution optimization
Collaboration & Market Intelligence
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, service, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Stay current on evolving technologies, competitive offerings, and industry trends
- Provide market and customer feedback to influence solution development and go-to-market strategies
Required
- Experience in technical or solution-based B2B sales
- Strong understanding of technology solutions, systems, or services relevant to the role
- Proven ability to generate new business and close complex solution sales
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance technical depth with business-focused selling
Preferred
- Background in solution architecture, systems engineering, or technical consulting
- Experience selling integrated hardware, software, and services solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, or related field
- Experience using CRM and sales enablement tools

Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually + annual bonus
