POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead end-to-end recruitment operations for Everabode Property Management, a property management firm operating Manufactured Housing Communities in the Midwest United States. This role is responsible for developing and executing talent strategies that attract, assess, and onboard high-quality candidates across all departments and levels of the organization. This is a fully remote position, though limited travel may be required from time to time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with company growth plans and workforce needs

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: job requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination
  • Partner with department heads and hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and define role requirements
  • Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for high-turnover and hard-to-fill roles common in property management (leasing agents, maintenance staff, community managers)
  • Design and maintain job descriptions, scorecards, and structured interview frameworks
  • Manage relationships with external staffing agencies, job boards, and professional associations
  • Leverage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage requisitions, track candidate progress, and generate reporting metrics
  • Develop employer branding initiatives to position Everabode as an employer of choice in the KC market
  • Track and report key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance rate
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws throughout the hiring process
  • Conduct reference checks and initiate and review background checks and pre-employment screenings
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts through equitable sourcing and hiring practices
  • Manage the full onboarding lifecycle from pre-employment through the first weeks on the job
  • Conduct structured 30/60/90-day check-ins with new hires and their managers to monitor integration, address concerns, and course-correct early performance issues
  • Flex into broader HR functions — including employee relations, performance management, and HR administration — as a collaborative resource across the department during periods of reduced recruiting activity

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, ideally within property management, real estate, or similar operationally intensive environments
  • Experience building or scaling recruiting functions in a high-growth or early-stage environment, with the ability to create structure, processes, and best practices from the ground up
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume recruiting across multiple roles simultaneously, including both corporate and field-based positions
  • Proven ability to proactively source candidates through a variety of channels (LinkedIn, local networks, referrals, and field recruiting strategies), not solely relying on inbound applicants or external agencies
  • Experience recruiting for distributed or multi-site workforces (e.g., field-based, hourly, or operations-heavy teams) across multiple geographies
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing recruiting processes, workflows, and systems, optimization, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of recruiting metrics and analytics, with the ability to use data to drive hiring strategy, improve processes, and influence outcomes
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence hiring managers and senior leaders, providing guidance on talent strategy, candidate evaluation, and hiring decisions
  • Experience developing or enhancing employer branding initiatives, particularly in new or evolving organizations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and EEOC compliance
  • Proficiency with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (e.g., HiringThing, ADP, or similar)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with the property management labor market and talent landscape, with exposure to manufactured housing, multifamily, or similar residential platforms preferred
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong alignment and collaboration with broader HR teams and stakeholders
