Staff Product Designer (Multiple Positions), Databricks, Inc., Seattle, WA. Design, develop, and improve software features for search, file browsing, and data discovery within Databricks' products. Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define requirements, build prototypes, and implement high-quality software. Develop user interfaces and system components using product design tools (e.g., Figma) and coding best practices. Conduct user research, including customer interviews, telemetry review, and product experimentation, to inform feature design. Create and maintain design patterns, documentation, and specifications to ensure consistency across applications. Enhance workflows for data platforms, including data lakes, pipelines, ETL, SQL analytics, and machine learning (Al) use cases. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into production systems, review code and pull requests, and align technical solutions across cloud storage, data warehousing, and ML/AI monitoring. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Digital Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UI/UX Design, or a related field, plus 24 months of experience in Digital Product Design.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Digital Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UI/UX Design, or a related field, plus 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in Digital Product Design.
Of the required experience, must have 24 months in the following (which may be gained concurrently):
Up to 10% domestic travel required.
