We're a fast-growing correctional healthcare company and we need an accountant who can keep up.
If you want a role where you own real work, collaborate directly with leadership, and actually see the impact of what you do — keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Own month-end and year-end close — journal entries, accruals, reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support internal and external audits
- Process AP/AR transactions as needed
- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts
- Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Identify ways to improve workflows and internal controls
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership on financial reporting
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional setting
- Solid GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
- CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure (preferred)
- Public accounting or audit background is a strong plus
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar — and Excel
- Sharp attention to detail with strong analytical instincts
- Experience in healthcare, government, or multi-entity environments a plus
The Right Person For This Role
- Wants to understand what the numbers mean, not just close the books
- Looks for ways to improve a process, not just run it
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Raises their hand when something looks off — and comes with a fix
- Can talk to a fellow accountant or present to the CFO and handle both fine
Why CHP We're mission-driven, growing fast, and building something. You won't be a number here — you'll be someone who helps us get it right.
