Technical Product Manager – Aggregation

A leading personal finance software company is seeking a dynamic Technical Product Manager focused on data aggregation to join its product team. This pivotal role will manage relationships with financial data aggregators (such as Intuit, Plaid, and Finicity) and ensure seamless integration of banking data into the company’s suite of products.

Key Responsibilities
Data Aggregation Management & Partner Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for data aggregators (e.g., Intuit, Plaid, Finicity, MX, Yodlee), maintaining optimal service levels and uptime.

  • Lead contract negotiations, SLA management, and performance reviews with data partners.

  • Monitor trends in Open Banking, data privacy regulations (e.g., PSD2, FDX, GDPR, CCPA), and industry standards to inform strategy.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with engineering, product, support, and compliance teams to enhance data integration, quality, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize API performance, authentication flows, and data reconciliation.

  • Own the data aggregation roadmap, balancing technical constraints, partner capabilities, and customer needs.

Performance Monitoring & Quality Assurance

  • Define and monitor KPIs such as data accuracy, API uptime, transaction success rates, and user impact metrics.

  • Establish real-time monitoring and alert systems to identify and resolve data issues promptly.

  • Partner with engineering on infrastructure improvements related to scalability, reliability, and security.

Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze customer feedback, support data, and product usage to identify and resolve friction points in account connectivity.

  • Work with internal teams to enhance the user experience in account linking and transaction categorization.

  • Implement frameworks to drive improvements in data reliability and user trust.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management or Program Management, ideally within fintech, banking, or financial data aggregation.

  • Strong experience in API integrations, data standards (e.g., FDX, OAuth, JSON), and aggregation technologies.

  • Familiarity with leading financial data providers (e.g., Plaid, Finicity, MX, Yodlee).

  • Understanding of data normalization, fraud prevention, and financial data quality challenges.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives.

  • Experience setting KPIs, implementing monitoring systems, and resolving performance issues.

  • Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation and decision-making skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus).
